Somatic Therapy

In addition to offering traditional talk therapy, our therapists understand the importance of body-based therapies, or somatic therapy. Somatic therapy is an embodied therapeutic approach that focuses on the connection between your body, mind, spirit and emotions. It can help you process trauma and emotions that may be stored in your body by integrating physical techniques with mental and emotional awareness. Somatic therapy utilizes techniques like breath work,
movement, experiential therapy, sound therapy, imagery, and more.

You may choose to seek somatic therapy to improve your emotional regulation, address relationship concerns, process grief, heal from trauma and attachment wounds, or increase self-confidence. The goal is to help support you in becoming more aware of your bodily experiences so that you can heal, find well-being, and move towards the things in life that bring you peace and joy.

We believe that somatic therapy is a necessary component for trauma and eating disorders. If you have been in talk therapy before without success, we encourage you to try out somatic therapy.
